"I
was always shocked at humans ingratitude.I was basically
unable to be late from walking and feeding my dogs.
I could see the mental picture of them waiting
impatiently at the door, expecting us to come home on
time. All you need to do is think
wth the heads of your pets and soon you realize.I cant
see how you can ignore this.I really can't understand
how humans don't see this. They must be lacking the
ability of love and empathy..."

 I
have been writing these passages many times, many places: if someone
treats a dog as a living creature, and not as an object of how to make
himself its a really different points of view on this. I think it is
clear to all serious pet owners: having and loving a dog is rewarding,
but also like taking care of another person. When you return home you
always have a never ending loyalty, marvelous moments and love from your
four legged friend. But the fact of the rewarding is not a secret, what
is evolving after years. When someone decide to get a dog, they
need to be sure this is what they want. When a breeder decides about
keeping the puppies, this is a decision that dogs lives
out their
life with this owner, and will not change his mind because of a chance for an easier
or better life. A person that leaves everything
he's worked for just for a hormonal issue..I do not think any whore is
worth it. It is
impossible to change his mind some months or years after
the fact: oh, sorry, I
missed it, I do not want this any more. Or yes, he can. This
is a brilliant
example of what happened with the
Starophramen dogs. |

It
is so strange how far we can explain, and approach the famous sentence
of
Antoine de Saint-Exupery:
“...Men have forgotten this
truth,” said the fox. "But you must not forget
it. You become responsible, forever, for what you
have tamed...."
For
me this is my motto for dog ownership. For others this is the motto of
the self-entrepreneur.
When life brought this situation to me, I had to think over many
situations: Shall I bring them with me? Shall I keep them as I did till
today.Should I have the possibility of buying a house, where all of
them can live in peace? If i do not have the chance to bring all of
them, who should I choose? How can they
get acclimatized to this new situation? Would they be
able to live without each other?
All of them have its own personalities. There are arguments
and differences about all of
them. One is very old, The other has problems with surroundings. Third
may be a puppy factory at the hands of a light-minded people. We watched
them grow and aged beside us. We have so many good and bad experiences
together. We've learned to trust each other.
I didn't feel up to loosing their trust with ingratitude...to let them
go. But my life changed. I wasn't allowed to get 5 more Danes. I
needed some help for my own dogs, too. This was when my friends - who
knew the circumstances - helped
me, because noone of my freinds wanted to loose
the
Starophramen dogs to bad or irresponsible people.
They worth was too much for
us.
I
think this is a happy-ended story
among these
conditions. Dogs have good homes, with good people. I know they can
get the love and attention they need, and I can visit them when the
spirit moves me. I can be close to them if they need it.

... had been forgotten here. She is living her new childhood and she is

changed a bit the equipments... Since then, they relaxed, and dwelt the
whole house. CS's favourite duty is to pay attention to the traffic on
the street from the balcony. |
...is an awesome brindle female.
I'm sure all the fawn/brindle breeders should be happy with a girl
like her. She is living together with CS, and they have a new
friend: a hedgehog child. Their new owner found them on a morning
sleeping with this little animal. They did not harm it. |
...
is still at home with us. In a
few weeks her new home will be ready, and she will live with a fawn
dane girl. Now she spend her happy days with Törpi and Biggi, her
panic is the past. She has some new pretenders, too.
Cortazar and
Marco in love with her. |

will stay with me (if it is necessary, till the end of his lifetime)
while I can find a new home to him, what fits to his claims by my
opinion, too. |

Yesterday
Achilles
-the braveheart hero- hid himself from the storm to the cellar- he made
an excellent bunker against the terrible storm. |

20/08./2008. Finally I could visit Achilles and Chi-chi.
I brouht a gift: Achilles's favourite football . I catched them in
brilliant coat-quality, and they were very happy in their new, luxory
collars. They had been used their new place. One mnth had been spent. It
was strange only for me to see them in a foreign enviroment. I also
brought my camera with myself to make some shots...certainly I forgot to
use it. They tried to get my ice-cream, so I'm sure next time I will
bring some candies to them , to make them happy...as well the dog
dietetics,too!

Biggi
shocked me today with a jump after the
goats, whom appeared on the neighbourhood yard. At first sight it was not
really sure: is this a jump or a somerset of a tiger, at least she stood
on her feet and chase the scared quarries to the fence. |

Yesterday I visited
Achilles and Chi-chi. They were
surprised, but happy with my gifts as an attempt at bribery. I learnt
from the past visiting, so I brought to them two big smoked bones... |

It
is time for the big move . Abbey and Crown
moved to the landhouse where their daughter,
Emma v Starophramen lived. Biggi stayed with us.
She had been diagnosed with cancer, and I did not want
to let her go. So Abbey and Crown moved
in with their good friend NBN . It was a hard
decision: I had to give my favorite dog to keep the old
one near by me.... |

apologize
This
morning brought terrible news. I thought if there was a Dane,
who could live for 100 years, it would be Abbey. Well, I was
mistaken. Abbey was in a fight a with NBN and had a heart attack.
She didn't make it. I was anger and up-set for weeks...for months. I
am sure she wasn't the initiative part.
To Abbey I
always had a floating debt: she had been hurt two times by my
bitches, because of a japing. When Abbey was a young dog, she was
always running and jumping around the others barking in their ears.
It was terrible and they really hated it. But as time went on, this
young girl disappeared and Abbey grew to be a very kind personality
and we became good friends.
In her old
age, she became an awesome peaceful dog. She would lay in the sun,
play with her friends and the balls. She loved to live. That's why
it is a really strange and bad feeling of me to know: I gave her
freedom, unconditional love and peace with one of my hands, but I
took it with the other. Because her death - if it was just an
accident - was lost by a Dane of mine. Apologies from me,
dear Abbey!
Specially
thanks to Zsuzsa and Lajos for their care and love! |

may 2009.
I
do not understand why the fawns pay the fine on behalf
of their breeder, but if things keep going like this,
offspring's of Biggi will die before their mother. On
the summer of 2008 I noticed a small lump at Achilles'
side.I brought him to the vet, but they set me at ease:
this is not a dangerous. Achilles is ...(was)...my
favorite of the fawns. Because of his age and
temperament I highly preferred him.
On
may of 2009 my friend Zsuzsa wanted to make the surgery
to have this lump removed, it had become bigger and it
disturbed the dog. But veterinary cleared up: this is
not a simple lump, but a cancer, what made adhesion onto
the ribs. We despaired. I did not believe
we could not save his life. So we
brought him to a specialist, Dr Balogh Lajos. He is one
of those veterinaries whom I
admire a lot because of his expertise and humanity. I
knew, if there was someone who could save Achilles, he
could. But we were late, the cancer had a spread to his
lungs. We decided not to do chemotherapy treatments,
because this would not save his life, just give him more
time. But at what expense?
Achilles passed away on 20 of July in 2009. |

Crown became father again! As he used to, this is also
an irregular issue of him: he divided his genetics with
his new love, a "Moscow
Sentry" bitch. So his offsprings carries their bohemian
father's semitype. :-) |

"Good sleep, Biggi"
Pallas
Biggi
passed away. She is the dog, whom I will always remember
with a kind of respectful shock. She had been
diagnosed with cancer 1 year ago. By the medical-forms
she should had died in some weeks. But she not give up.
I did not ever see such a thing like this: she wanted to
live with a great passion. We knew one day we must let
go. But any time, when I scheduled her to the vet, she
gave the answer is a lemon to the Death. She fought with
a huge desperation and I admire her for this.
Slowly and hardly but she came with me to
everywhere, till the final moments. Unspeakable
hard is leting someone away,if
we only knew
she wanted to stay. |
